Forensic Addiction and Psychiatric Services, L.L.C. provides services for all parties within the courts. Hand-picked by the DoD as the Lead Agent/Author for the Veterans Affairs-DoD Practice Guidelines for Substance Use Disorders, Dr Miller has been active in a wide range of topics relating to addictions and has roughly 50 medical publications. He is the Co-founding Editor of a major addiction medicine society medical journal as well as is Co-Editor of their flagship textbook in addiction medicine. He has been sought out for his expertise on issues relating to addiction throughout the USA.
A national source on cough medicine addiction, he has been interviewed for Dateline (NBC), Pravda, and U.S. News & World Report. He has co-chaired national addiction medicine conferences.
He is clinically active and also teaches and runs both an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship training program and an Addiction Medicine Research Fellowship training program.

Dr. Miller provides forensic consultation services to the legal community on all issues relating to alcohol or drug use, addiction, all related behaviors (including gambling disorder), drug testing, addiction medicine, psychiatry, as well as the often intertwining legal issues.
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Miller is double-Board Certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He is also certified in Buprenorphine and is a Certified Tobacco Treatment specialist. He is a native of Ohio and was awarded United States Air Force (USAF) full scholarships in physics and pre-medicine for undergraduate training to college of choice, and later a full scholarship for medical school to school of choice. Dr. Miller earned honors distinctions in undergraduate and graduate education.
He then completed residency in psychiatry at Wright Patterson USAF Medical Center/Wright State University where he ranked in the top 1-2% among all U.S. psychiatry resident physicians-in-training. Selected by the Psychiatry Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General to serve at the high-visibility Presidential base of Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC, he treated a variety of high-profile military and federal officials, as well as rare conditions. Here he served at the Tri-Service Addiction Recovery Center (Tri-SARC) – the worldwide tertiary referral center for the diagnosis and treatment of addiction related disorders within the Department of Defense (DoD).
In short time he was promoted to Chief Administrative and Clinical Officer of TriSARC. As Chief, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for vastly overhauling service design, reducing costs, and translating several cutting-edge research findings into practice (earning one of few USAF Best Practice Awards). He now serves both the VA and medical school in clinical care, research, administration, teaching, and education and training. He directs a very large addiction division for the VA medical center while remaining clinically active.

Dr. Miller is clinically experienced with detoxification, rehabilitation, dual-diagnosis, corrections, methadone maintenance, buprenorphine, chronic pain & addiction, drug testing, impaired providers, gambling addiction, and all other areas of addiction medicine. He has earned numerous awards in teaching, leadership and clinical excellence; including the Humanism in Medicine Award (American Medical Association) and America's Top Psychiatrists.
