A grounds maintenance/lawnmower equipment expert is generally an agricultural engineer having extensive experience with lawnmowers and other grounds maintenance equipment such as compact tractors, fertilizer spreaders, stump grinders, trimmers, blowers, and lawn/garden tractors. He may have one or more graduate degrees in agricultural engineering and experience in industry and/or as a professor of agricultural engineering, and is often a registered professional engineer (PE). He will be familiar with basic mechanical/agricultural engineering principles as well as having a strong background in both professional and consumer grounds maintenance equipment. He will be capable of doing accident reconstruction on grounds maintenance and mowing equipment and will have extensive experience in forensic engineering.
