Expert Witnesses Legal Nurse Consultant

A legal nurse consultant assists attorneys by reviewing medical records to identify standards of care issues and deviations. LNCs function under the Scope of Practice governed by the Board of Registered Nurses. They are able to assimilate voluminous medical records, research issues and synthesize the information. With their specialized training, they may act as expert witnesses on standards of care in depositions and trials. They can speak to state and federal regulations governing acute care and long term care facilities. LNCs provide critical information to attorneys to save them time, resources and help develop a persuasive case.
