Areas of Expertise
Chason provides up front consulting to owners and architects to help form the basis for energy efficient building design, both for the building envelope and for the comfort control system. We are LEED approved, and have over 35 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems. Several of our designs have won national design awards.
We have extensive experience in the evaluation of improper performance (high energy cost, poor comfort or excessive noise) HVAC systems. On the basis of our testing and evaluations, we propose solutions, taking into account the occupant schedule, space condition requirements and budgets.
Chason approaches forensic investigations in the same manner as other troubleshooting engagements. In the case of forensics, we not only identify the issue, but develop a scenario as to how the problem came to be. We also provide solutions and conceptual cost estimate. A major element of our expert witness activity is to educate the attorney on the technical issues involved.
