He worked extensively with vehicle manufacturers on data collection and processing technologies, as well as government and the insurance industry on the use of vehicle data in applications including traffic information, insurance rate setting, and Smart Cities. Recently this field has enveloped the Internet of Things, where Christopher Wilson is an expert on the use of vehicles and vehicle data.
