Led a team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) caring for young adults admitted to a 17-bed inpatient locked psychiatric unit. Care involved psychiatric conditions, medical problems, and legal issues.

Taught residents, interns, and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings in the rapid psychiatric assessment and diagnosis of patients, and principles of psychopharmacology.

HAVEN (Health Assistance Intervention Education Network), CT

Worked with the Impaired Physicians Committee of the State of Connecticut and was Program Director for its successor, HAVEN, a confidential health voluntary health assistance program for health care professionals who may have been impaired due to use of substances, physical conditions, or mental health problems. The issue was always the standard of care and whether it was being met by the licensed professional.
